Encino West Psychological Services
Are you currently seeing patients in person?
Yes. We believe that the most accurate evaluations occur in an in-person setting. Therefore, we do not offer telehealth testing at this time.
How long does testing take?
The length of the assessment depends on the child’s age and how long they are able to maintain concentration. However, the length of assessment days can be shortened if you are able to devote a full day to testing with breaks in between.
When will I receive the results?
A feedback session will be scheduled within two weeks after testing has concluded. At this time results will be discussed and you will receive a copy of your child’s report.
Where are you located?
We have offices in Sherman Oaks and West Los Angeles. In-home testing services are also available, on a case-by-case basis.
Is my information private?
Encino West Psychological Services has an ethical responsibility and a professional duty to safeguard clients and their families from unauthorized disclosures of information given in the therapeutic relationship. However, information about clients and their families may be disclosed in consultations with members of the treatment team and other EWPS staff in order to provide the highest quality of care and continuity of services. With few exceptions, information will not be shared with any outside party without the written consent of the client, or the client’s legal representative.
Do you accept insurance?
Encino West Psychological Services does not currently work with any insurance plans, however, it is possible that you could receive reimbursement from your insurance provider for out-of-network services. If you do call your insurance provider to verify your coverage it is helpful to ask the following questions:
-
Do I have insurance benefits for out-of-network mental health/behavioral health services?
-
Is there an out-of-network deductible that must be met?
-
How many sessions per year are covered?
-
Is a referral required from my primary care physician?
Do you offer initial consultations?
Yes, we offer free 15-minute consultation calls to answer any questions you may have regarding the services we provide.
Do you offer in-home testing services?
Yes, we offer in-home testing services in select areas so your child can be assessed in the comfort of their own home. Schedule a 15-minute consultation call to find out if you live in an area that qualifies for in-home testing services.
Do you currently provide individual, couples, or group therapy sessions?
We do not provide therapy at Encino West but are able to refer you to other agencies or clinicians in your area.
